Your hormones. Your body. Your story.
Your hormones don't run the show. You do. At Axis, we give you the knowledge, the answers, and the plan to take control of your hormonal and metabolic health.
Struggling With Hormonal Imbalances, Metabolic Changes, Or Just Not Feeling Well?
Wherever you are in your health journey, we are here for you.
Your hormones, metabolism, and overall health are all connected. There's usually a reason we feel symptoms that don't make sense:
Fatigue
Brain fog
Weight changes
Mood shifts
Changes in sleep
At Axis, we take the time to look at the full picture and understand what's really going on. True health isn’t about one number being “normal.” It’s about your system working together, in balance.
Your hormones are changing. That doesn't mean you have to just ride it out. At Axis, we look at how perimenopause and menopause affect your whole metabolism — weight, energy, sleep, mood — and build a plan so you stay in control of how you feel.
Care Built Around You
Perimenopause and Hormonal Transitions
Thyroid, & Other Hormone Conditions
Sometimes the answer has been there all along - it just needed someone to look deeper. At Axis, we evaluate and treat the full range of endocrine conditions, including:
Thyroid disorders
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS, formerly PCOS)
Bone health and calcium disorders
Adrenal and pituitary conditions
Men’s health (Testosterone, ED, etc.)
Weight & Metabolic Health
Weight and fat loss are complex. Hormones, metabolism, insulin resistance, sleep, and stress all play a role.
Maybe you feel like you're doing everything right — the meal prep, the cardio, the resistance training, the step counting — and nothing is changing.
Maybe you're considering a GLP-1 or other medication but feel uncertain.
Maybe you're looking for a path forward without medication at all.
At Axis, we build a plan around your biology, your lifestyle, and your preferences.
Diabetes Care
Diabetes is not one size fits all, and neither is the care we provide. Whether you have type 1, type 2, prediabetes, LADA, MODY, or a rare or complex form of diabetes, you deserve a plan built around your life, not just your A1c.
At Axis, we combine personalized care that looks beyond the numbers to how you actually feel day to day with the latest diabetes technology:
Continuous Glucose Monitors like Dexcom and Libre
Insulin pump systems like Omnipod, Tandem, Twiist, and Medtronic
Testosterone & Men’s Hormonal Health
Your symptoms deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to evaluate your hormones, identify the root causes of imbalance, and create a personalized care plan designed around your health goals.
A better normal is one click away. We’re ready when you are.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about how Axis Endocrinology works? Here are some of the most common ones.
-
Lab orders are sent electronically to a major reference lab near you — including LabCorp and Sonora Quest. Lab fees are billed separately by the lab and are often covered by insurance. Results are sent directly to Axis for Dr. Behari to review and discuss with you.
Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. If you have questions about medication costs, we're happy to discuss affordable options during your visit.
-
We believe in transparent, straightforward pricing. New patient consultations are $595, and follow-up visits are $350. We also offer care packages for patients who want structured, ongoing support at a discounted rate. Visit our Pricing page for the full fee schedule and package details.
-
No membership required — you can book a single visit as needed, or choose a care package for structured support at a discounted rate.
For patients who need ongoing monthly care — active diabetes management, GLP-1 titration, perimenopause, or complex endocrine conditions — the Axis Rhythm Membership includes one follow-up visit per month, plus secure messaging, priority scheduling, lab result interpretation between visits, prior authorization handling, and more. Membership starts at $250/month with a 6-month minimum, with prepay options available at a discount. At $250/month versus $350 per à la carte follow-up visit, consistent members save $100 per visit.
Before enrolling in a membership, reach out — we'd rather you choose the option that actually fits your care needs than sign up for something you don't need.
Visit our Pricing page for the full breakdown of packages, memberships, and what's included.
-
Axis Endocrinology is a cash-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. We provide a superbill after every visit — an itemized receipt with diagnosis and procedure codes that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients with PPO plans recover a portion of their visit cost this way. We recommend calling your insurer before your appointment to understand your out-of-network benefits.
-
Yes — we recommend maintaining your health insurance coverage. Axis covers your endocrinology visits, but insurance remains important for medications, lab work, imaging, hospital care, and routine primary care. Visit fees do not include labs, imaging, or medications — those are billed separately by the respective providers. We provide a superbill after every visit that you can submit to your insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you need a copy sent directly to you, just let us know.
If you are currently uninsured, you are still welcome at Axis. We can work with you to keep lab and medication costs manageable and will discuss affordable options during your visit.
-
Yes. Axis Endocrinology visit fees are eligible medical expenses and can typically be paid using Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds. We recommend confirming with your plan administrator if you have any questions about eligibility.
-
Medicare and coverage questions are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation.
-
Absolutely — we love hearing from our community. If you have a question about hormonal or metabolic health that you'd like Dr. Behari to address, send it to us via the contact form or DM us on Instagram. -
No referral needed — you can book directly, and we typically offer same-week appointments. If you have a primary care physician, we're happy to coordinate with them and keep them in the loop about your care.
-
We treat the full spectrum of hormonal and metabolic conditions — from diabetes and thyroid disorders to perimenopause, PCOS, obesity, adrenal conditions, bone health, and men's health including testosterone. If you're not sure whether we're the right fit, reach out and we'll let you know.
-
Not exactly. Concierge practices typically charge a membership fee on top of insurance billing. Axis uses a direct-pay model instead — one transparent fee, paid directly to your physician. What you see is what you pay.
-
Axis Endocrinology is currently licensed in Arizona. We see patients statewide via telehealth — including rural and underserved communities across the state. In-person visits are available in Phoenix on select days.
-
Yes. In-person visits are available in Phoenix on select days. In-person care is a great option for patients who prefer face-to-face visits or for certain treatments that benefit from an in-office appointment. All other care is available via secure telehealth statewide.
-
Most care at Axis is delivered virtually — reviewing labs, discussing symptoms, adjusting medications, and building your treatment plan can all be done from the comfort of your home. In-person visits are available in Phoenix on select days for patients who prefer face-to-face care or when an in-person physical exam is part of your treatment.
-
Yes. Every visit at Axis is with Dr. Behari. You will never be handed off to another provider without your knowledge and consent. Your care stays continuous and consistent — with a physician who knows your full history every time.
-
New patient consultations are 60 minutes. Follow-up visits are 30 minutes. We build longer visits into our model on purpose — because your health deserves time and attention.
-
Just a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. We use Doxy.me, a secure HIPAA-compliant video platform.
